You’ll need to provide, with your product,an SDS for the Retailer. Some Retailers require an SDS for each country theyare located in (e.g. Canada).

Q: What if I don’t have an SDS for myproduct?
A: You may elect to have WPS write one foryou, specific to your product registration data. Once written, an SDS, in PDF,will be provided to you for your review.

Please note: You approve and accept thefinalized SDS and are liable for all data within the document. The SDS iswritten by WPS based on the Product Details you provide during the WERCSmartRegistration process.

Q: My product is not required to have anSDS. Do I still need to have one authored, as I have no document to provide duringthe registration process?
A: If you have an OTC product, orNutritional/Dietary product, you’re correct, an SDS is not required. Therefore,you should then upload a product labelwhich outlines your product’s ingredients.
问：我们的产品没有要求需要提供SDS。我有必要授权写一份吗，即使在注册过程中我没有文件要求提供？

Note: For these types of products, someRetailers do require that an SDS be written, even though an SDS may notlegally be required. Please consult with your Buyer if you further questions onthe Retailer requirement for documentation.

Q: What is a CASnumber?
A: ChemicalAbstract Service Registry Number. There are more than 67 million organic andinorganic substances, proteins, DNA sequences, etc., within the registry.

Q: I have toprovide the full Formula of myproduct?
A: Yes.
Formulation valuesmust be 100% or greater and must have valid/true CAS numbers.
Formulations mustalso include any ingredient listed on the SDS you provide.
Our ability toprovide accurate and compliant Assessments, and an SDS if you choose to haveone written for your product, depends on the overall data you provide to WPS.Inaccurate or incomplete data results in delays in processing your assessment.Also, the accuracy is reliant on the data you provide to us. Your company isresponsible for the product assessment data, and will be liable. WPS will notverify data provided.

Q: Who, in mycompany, enters this information?
A: Each company isdifferent. Sometimes it is the Sales or Marketing Department, the R&DDepartment, or a combination of a lot of departments or roles. Any person mayenter the data, but it is compiling the data that is of the most importance.

Q: I am adistributor, not a manufacturer, of the product. Do I need to provide data forthe CARP?
A: Yes, if youhave your own Supplier ID with a Retailer, or your own UPC registrations. Thefull product data is still required, including formulation data.
